Where in the World is Navi?

By

This is a picture of my mom and brother. I think mom was in her early 30’s and my brother was only a few months old. I love this picture of them both! It’s definitely my favorite!

The one person that was supposed to be there with me through all of this decided that this was the perfect time to leave everything behind and run away. I have not heard anything from him since then.

The family’s saving grace was and still is my son. He is the main reason that I try my best to see the good things in life, and makes me want to do better things as well. He is the reason that my whole family was able to put their pain aside and smile again. I would go as far as to say that he’s definitely a God sent. A true blessing to our family, no matter how much of a pain he can be most days, but that’s a story for another day. 🙂

The pandemic didn’t help things much as well. I lost touch with a lot of people that I considered to be my friends. I’ve also seen more people pass way at work since this pandemic started then in all the other years combined. That’s one of the major downsides of working in the medical field. I get attached with the patients/clients that I help take care of and whenever they pass away for whatever reason, it hurts me rather deeply.

It’s taken me these past few years to get myself together and back on my feet again. It was really hard to get past everything, but I’ve found that I have a few amazing people in my life that still have my back and will make sure that I am still able to laugh. All these ups and downs these past years and the pandemic has sure brought a lot of things into perspective. Things like the fact that life is too short not to be doing what you love everyday. Also, its made me appreciate the little things in life much more.

Also, it brought into focus the fact that your mental health is something that you should never take lightly. If you are having any issues at all please reach out for help from family, friends, and/or professionals. You can also reach out to me. I am willing to listen and help you to the best of my ability. Sometimes it’s just nice to have someone listen to you without passing any judgment. I just felt like that I should put that out there.

Well that’s where I’ve been and what I’ve been up to. I’m making progress in my life slowly but surely. I hope your time through this pandemic has been better than mine and you’ve gotten through this time in one piece and not broken like me. Please take care and stay safe! See you in the next post.
