Hello!! Welcome to my blog!! I’m really excited to share a small piece of my world with you! My main goal for this blog will be to give my take on a wide range of things. Basically anything that actually happens in my daily life or catches my interests.

In order to understand my “point of view,” you will need to know a little bit about where I come from. I’m not really all that great with writing the “about me” sections, so please excuse me if I ramble. 🙂 I always either say too much or not enough.

Anyways, lets start with my name. During my lifetime I have been called by many names, but the one that I usually go by now is Navi (Short for Navreet). I’m in my mid 20’s. I was born in Punjab, India, but when I was three (or so), my parents decided to move the whole family to the States. Ever since then I’ve been living in California, and no I don’t live by any stars (as far as I know), but I did grow up with a star football player. Take a wild guess on who it is. 🙂 The city, or town, that I live in is called Turlock. It’s a cozy place to grow up, but its limited on the things that you can do. I’ve been living in this small city/town for the past 15+ years. I’ve been studying various things over the years. Currently I’m working on getting my bachelor degree in nursing.

I like all kinds of things. I’m always looking for new things to try. That’s one of the reasons I have such a huge bucket list. 😉 Reading and writing has been my passion for a very long time. I’ve been reading one thing or another for as long as I can remember. I started to take an interest in writing in the sixth grade, when it was recommended that I keep a daily journal (I still have it stashed away somewhere). I’ve been writing randomly in journals ever since then. Lately, I’ve made it a goal to write something in my journal/diary (haven’t really decided which one it is yet) everyday. 2011 was the first year that I accomplished that goal! I think I have become a little addicted with snail mail letters. 🙂 I’m always looking for new pen pals.

Another passion of mine is music and dancing. For most people these two things are separate, but for me they go together, just like milk and cereal. 🙂 It seems like I’ve been dancing my whole life. The earliest evidence was captured on a video back in India. It was around the beginning of 1990. It wasn’t perfect, but it was my version and I was sure having fun. I have a habit of doing some dance moves at random times, totally out of the blue. As of right now, I only know some Indian dances (like bhangra, gidha, and some Bollywood dancing), but I plan on changing that as soon as possible. A weird thing about me is that sometimes I can’t fall asleep without my music.
